People with diabetes or people with weak liver function cannot take Triptans. Women having menstrual migraines can take these drugs. There are seven different types of Triptans. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most popular form of medication to cure a migraine. The list of NSAIDs includes naproxen, etodolac, diclofenac, ibuprofen, and aspirin. These drugs are the most affordable and effective forms of treatment against a migraine. Anti-inflammatory drugs deliver effective relief against menstrual cramps, headaches, and muscle pain.
So how do NSAIDs work? The short and simple answer is that NSAIDs obstruct the inflammation, which leads to a migraine. You can take NSAIDs with a glass of water. People who are sensitive to medication can take it after a meal to prevent an upset stomach.

Ergotamine:

Ergotamine is the chemical of choice to cure your migraine if you rarely suffer from a migraine. The compound is a vasoconstrictor, which implies that it causes blood vessels around the brain to contract. This medication cannot prevent migraines from occurring, and it can only alleviate a migraine which has already started.
Ergotamine does not combine well with other medication. Do not take ergotamine if you have high blood pressure or heart problems. Avoid ergotamine for the elderly. You can use a single tablet or half a tablet, but do not crush tablets. Ergotamine contradicts several different chemicals. Find out if the medicine you are taking is safe to take with ergotamine.

Apply The Cold Treatment

Medication is one way to treat a migraine. A way to reduce the symptoms of a migraine is to apply cold packs or cryotherapy. Wrap a few ice cubes or a bag of frozen corn in a towel. Apply the ice pack to your head or neck to reduce the symptoms of a migraine.
Apply and remove the ice pack for 15-minute intervals. In some weather conditions, a heating pad is also conducive against a migraine. Do not place the ice or ice pack directly on to the skin as this can cause frostbite.

Undergo Massage Therapy

Avoid Skipping Meals

Some people skip meals to lose weight. Others skip meals because they don’t have the time for breakfast or lunch in their hectic schedule. Haphazardly trying to control your meal schedule has a terrible effect on your health. Missing a meal has a direct impact on the whole body, and this includes the mind.
Skipping a meal causes the body to have a nutritional headache. The body was expecting food at a particular time, but there was none. Missing a meal can cause a person to experience low blood sugar levels and aggravate a migraine by causing profuse sweating, dizziness, nausea, and in some cases, loss of consciousness.

Avoid Junk Foods

Junk foods trick our body into feeling full when the body has not received any sustenance of nutritional value. We crave junk food to help deal with the anxiety of academic exams to make us feel relaxed. After eating the junk food, we realize that we have not made any progress in our studies and the exam schedule is still the same.
The migraine begins with panic and develops into all sorts of different physical symptoms. Not being able to concentrate on anything is another physical consequence of eating too much junk food. Coffee, sugar, ice cream, chocolates, and alcohol are just some of the junk foods to avoid during a migraine.

Maintain a Proper Sleep Schedule

The human body needs at least seven to eight hours of sleep each night. After six hours of sleep have passed the body begins recuperative functions. These recuperative functions need to be carried out ideally for two hours. When the individual wakes up the next morning after eight hours of sleep, they feel rejuvenated.

Getting six hours or less than six hours of sleep leads the body to feel inebriated. Even though the person wants to concentrate on studying, the body no longer complies. Consider switching off the lights in a quiet and peaceful room and getting some sleep before taking any medication.
